Thanks Steve... Id be interested in your Indo-Chinese... however... with the Currasows comming in this month... Im litterally out of Space... but once my breeding pens are done... Should be about 4 weeks... as long as the weather holds and the tractor dont break
fl.gif
, then I should have the space needed to continue the process... Ive had to pass up some birds that I REALLY want because Im out of space... but the timeing was not right... Oh well...

What did you say the 3 greens were mixed with? Java and burmeese? I cant remember for the life of me..

Have a great day!

Regarding the mixture... I have a chicken that hatched out 4 eggs.. but the eggs were different shapes and colors... and I know that other chickens were using her nest... so I dont even know if the chicks are hers... but she's raisin them... It be nice if birds laid eggs with numbers... then you'd know who laid what...

Nice looking birds, yes trouble with mixed pens, never will know what type greens they are.

I only put one color male with a group of hen, still need to know sometime which hen layed what egg. I even seperated the hens with a swing gate. Its not a easy thing to do, but the extra work help when breeding new colors, and patterns.

Again you got some nice birds, The Java do sell for the most if pure. myself I couldnt tell the differents of the 3 greens, then again I dont breed the greens.

told ya you'd like them!
The 5 I got from Steve as chicks this year are looking great, he's a very nice guy to work with, helped me out a ton this past season, so yall all need to buy him out!!
Congrats on the nice birds
Aubrey

thanks guys... Im going to have 3 breeder pens...

1 pen is for JAVA's... I have 1 male and 2 femals... for sure..

then I have 3 greens... that can be

pure Java,
Pure burmese,
Java/Indo-Chinese,
Java/Burmese, or
Burmese/indo-chinese

Plus I dont know if there male or female... but I did notice that one of the 3 looks like a male, no, i cant sex greens... but I have the weird feeling its a boy and the other 2 are girls..

Depending what I get... Ill then figure out the other 2 breeder pens... Id like to make some spauldings out of my pide, white, cameo, and one IB peafowl. But Ive got time to see what happens... Hopefully next year they will start laying...

All my peafowl are 09's, except for 1 pair of Java's that are 08's.
