Hi...I'm a lurker here but wanted to let you all know that Wynette hurt her back and is not very mobile.. She is ok and is seeing a doctor on Wednesday. I'm sure she would appreciate you keeping her in your prayers and letting her know that you are thinking of her..

Heal soon Wynette...... terrible thing a hurt back, been there done that too many times to count. Rest and get you some devils claw, and willow bark for inflammation and pain.


I like these birds I thought before I seen this thread they were pretty plain and simple though huge chickens, but now after 190 some pages hehehe I have changed my mind, I may order me a few next year. How big are the hens usually? pound wise. I don't wanna put my back out carrying them around hehehe.
Also do they all have gray/black legs? even the whites?

I didn't know Wynette hurt her back...I will email her right now! She is sending me my BBS Jersey eggs TOMORROW!! Pretty darn excited! Maria Hall sent me a dozen out today. What a hatch this will be!!

The bits of white usually still show up in wing feathers as those grow out and after the first molt most of the white, if not all, should be gone by then. Don't worry it's nerve wracking when you have to trust others judgement and hope they knew what the bids were and sent you the right ones!

Update I have 3 blk , 3 blue and 3 splash. 1 that should hatch. Then that should be all. Hope to get picture tue. just want to see if that last one moving will hatch.
