What should I do??
I have one single Jersey Giant, he is a Roo and dooesn't fit in with the flock.
The other rooster, slightly older, runs the flock, runs him off any hen he is attempting to breed with and all the girls run him away from food and treats.
Should I get rid of HIM, or get eggs and hatch some ladies for him??
I want him to have a LIFE. Now he's just plain lonely.

I have a large coop, and even bigger run, it's a converted dog kennel which had 5 separate stalls in it. 2 are now for the dogs and 3 are for the chickens, plus I have a small grow out pen where I could raise some till they were big enough to let out in the yard. Then, and only then if I had to I could cull some of the other hens. Im not fond of the RIR, they aren't friendly at all.
What happened to MyPage? I can't find it anymore, is it gone?? How do I let others see pics now??

My first thought is that, if your rooster is decent, get some eggs to hatch. Old chick brings up a good point, they do get BIG. Best to plan on them needing more room than you think they will if they're going to be cooped. And yep, I don't care much for the RIR either, can be so grouchy with the other hens.

well the little pen I have is about 6x8 foot, maybe a tad smaller, would that be big enough to raise 4?? I would have to suppose a 50% male/female ratio which would eventually leave me to cull more roos if I got them. But by 6 months of age I'd know. Took Sir Richard that long before he crowed.
