Jersey Giants must have yellow on the bottoms of their feet, yes.

Hey Everyone!

I've got my first set of B/B/S JG and they are now about 4 wks old. How early were you all able to tell, roo from pullet? I know they say JG mature a little slower...just wondering what to expect. TIA!!

Yea, me too. I have 8 JG's some have bigger redder combs, and they are 6 weeks old. Is that reliable?

As per color conversation, do you think that you can get black back on track by breeding in a blue JG to get the brown/red out?

I'd like to get some JGs. The North East seems to suffering from a lack of them! I'd like to breed blues and from Maria's site it looks like if you breed a splash with a black you get a blue.

I've got an email in to Bobbi to see what she has.

Okay guys, so I have one of JG-4wks old...supposedly pure JG...now is sprouting some muffs, like an Ameraucana! The guy I bought them from said he did have some pure white Ameraucanas...I'm curious if they got in the pen??

The other JG I have do not have an muffs or puffy cheeks at all...this is not a trait of JG, right??

Hmmm, that's what I thought. Well, I'm curious what color eggs this one will lay?? Are JG eggs normally brown?

so, if this one is part ameraucana...could this pullet potentially be an Olive Egger?? When a brown egg layer crosses a blue egg layer?? I can't wait to find out!
