Jersey Giants thread for pictures and discussion

Oh, I see! Thanks for the reply.

I'll go ahead and put a few photos here. I'm not shy about my stock. I've been open about them coming from Cackle Hatchery. I know they are nowhere perfect, but I've enjoyed them.

Maybe this will help other folks to allow their photos be judged/examined/discussed.

I am in. Getting my first Jersey Giants this May from a breeder here in Oregon. I just found this thread and have enjoyed learning about Jersey Giants from all of you

I like #5's tail angle Oldchick, it's supposed to be 40degree angle, usually they won't get higher placed if it's 90*. Stan the man is VERY cute, but his tail has bigger feathers aren't matched up well considering to the standard. Noticed their tail angles, they have a U shape, it's kind of hard to get, mine sometimes will pose with a V which takes off points

Alright JG peeps! Mr.Fluffy Puffy (my roo) he's going to have his birthday on March 11!

Happy 1st birthday to him! That's him next to his MOM! His legs are huge, and he's about 10lbs! Yet he has side sprigs, and he broke his wing, and injured his leg, learning how to roost for a cat treat.

Thanks for the comments. I notice my hen's tail angle will change according to their moods. The feathers so up when they are alarmed or in feeding mode. None of my birds meet the weight standard. except for Jennifer. She's the hulk giving the stink eye while on high alert.

Oh yours isn't the only one! My hen fought with a hen next to her at a show, and her tail was up at 90* so she lost a tie breaker for Reserve Champion Large to my sisters Ameraucana I didn't know she'd be so aggressive they had to move her!
