ok I just got home and I have 2 black copper marans and 3 JG chicks!

They are huge! two are still wet/damp so I would say 1 blk and 2 blue/blk ones.
they are so big they scoot around they cant stand up the the marans do.
have lots of pips getting bigger. Most are still hiding in their eggs.

it will be a late night early am hatch. at least I'll be home to see them!

. Thanks Wynette. When I got home my JF weren't doing anything. I did have a Cuckoo Marans out and Guinea, Icelandics, a gosling, and more Cuckoos hatching. If I sell any eggs here shortly, I'll be seeing if you still have the eggs available. Congrats Soaring.

Twinkle-- my Jersey Giant hen, turned 5 this month! She was a shower, but then stopped growing at age 1 1/2 and shrunk some.

Wanted to share a little video I shot of my Jersey Giant. I just have the one. She was a mistake purchase. I'm in the city and just wanted a few hens for eggs and when I went to buy a Black Astralorp, they were out. They asked me what I wanted and I said just a big black chicken and they gave me a JG.

She's got a HUGE personality and I love her to pieces. She's by far the smartest of all my girls. AND she knows her name and comes when I call her.

3 of the marked eggs have pips!!! Can't see the last one good but it has been rocking!!!

Still hatching but looks like over 1/2 of the 21 eggs have hatch .
All that have hatched are black and blue not one splash so far.
It would be cool if I got a splash from the marked eggs along with the blk and blue.
So I'm hoping for two splash a blue and a blk out of the marked eggs that way I will know who they are.
I will band those 4 for sure! Some big fat fuzzy butts in there can't wait to get them out.

CLEVER CHICKEN!!!!

I had the same thing: mistake purchase. She was supposed to be an Australorp. I entered her into a show, and the Judge told me it was a JG. I heard they were a huge breed, and she got 1st place anyways... beat the older kids

Then she went to a open poultry show and got a higher placing; Reserve American (open show) and 4H reserve American (4H show). That's when I got my JG obsession.

ALL 4 Champion pullet eggs hatched !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
2 outstanding Blue chicks,1 blk and not sure what color the last one is it is still drying and hiding in the back corner.
looks like 4-6 more eggs give or take a few hard to tell with such big chicks scooting around.
