JESUS Blessed my Life this week

Last week I had to go into town to pay off one of those "1 year no payment no interest" furniture loans. I was a week late for the end of the year due date because I made a mistake and missed the date. So that morning I had to go pay my dues and I knew I was going to be throwing away another $600 because of my mistake. I was sooo mad at myself for this mistake!
Anyway on the way to the loan company I prayed for a small miracle. It was payday and I figured I may as well go bite the bullet on it, but Lord please do something about this!
When I got there and told the woman what happened she had no pity:>) But when she looked into my account she smiled and said..."this account is actually due today, so you don't owe us anything more than what it says on the bill!"

I was truly feeling blessed when I walked out of that office!

Mike: Peace that passes all understanding.
Thank you for reminding us all of this wonderous gift from our Father above.

In this day and age of turmoil, anxiety, and the uncertainty of tomorrow - what a blessing that God has given us: Peace that passes all understanding.

It seems that everywhere I go there are people hurting. You can see the strain of the times on the faces of mothers, fathers, children, everyone - as they go about their daily business of buying groceries, getting gas, paying bills, etc. There are so many houses for sale in our area. And even worse than the for sale signs - are the homes and farms where the people have just walked away and left their homes to the bank and foreclosure. What a sad sign of the times.

But God is great and He is there for all of us day or night. He has given us a peace that only Christians understand - a peace that passes all understanding - even in the midst of uncertainty. I thank God for His gentle reminder - that He is there whenever we call upon His name.

I am thankful for being able to see the gorgeous sunrise this fall morning. I am thankful for meeting all these wonderful souls on BYC.

I am 53 yrs old, and here is a poem that i cut out of the newspaper when I was a teenager, and have tried to live by:

by Ella Willcox

TALK HAPPINESS, THE WORLD IS SAD ENOUGH
WITHOUT YOUR WOE. NO PATH IS WHOLLY ROUGH.
LOOK FOR THE PLACES THAT ARE SMOOTH AND CLEAR.
AND SPEAK OF THOSE, TO REST THE WEARY EAR
OF EARTH, SO HURT BY ONE CONTINUOUS
STRAIN
OF HUMAN DISCONTENT AND GRIEF AND PAIN.

praise God!

Wed. around 4:30 pm I was going to gather eggs and because of a disease I have in my feet I could not feel the slippery mud till it was too late. I fell...my right leg went under me, my back hit hard and I hit my head on a 5 gallon water bucket that was full. Jesus blessed me cause I have no broken bones and I am able to walk (slowly but at least I can walk). My husband was outside so he heard me and ran to help me and normally its just me. Thank you Lord!

Cockadoodlemom, maybe you shouldn't go out on muddy days without being encased in bubblewrap! Glad you're okay.

I was blessed this morning by accidentally watching preacher Joyce Meyers on tv while I was doing my weights workout. Now, you would THINK, that working out while watching a tv preacher would be double H-E-doublesticks, but darned if she isn't so on-target about the Christian life. Never thought I would watch a tv preacher, but I know what channel I'm going to watch during Monday morning's workout!

By the way, I'm not a cheery, PTL kind of person. I'm a realist, and have doubted the Lord's presence during many of my life's trying times. But He's always there, whether my pathetic human antennae can discern him or not.

just had to do another one!

blessed to find two freezers i desperately needed, one free the other for only $75!

was able to bless a ton of people with items on freecycle also, and it made me realize what it is like to help without worrying about what comes back to you.

got a lot done even though my body is still running pretty roughly and felt a sense of real accomplishment!

PTL! thank You Lord! i am ever grateful of Your presence, Your always holding us and abundant provision!

Not trying to be a wise guy, but I can't help but wonder when I hear things like this: How do you know it was Jesus who found you a cheap freezer or changed the due date on your furniture loan? Why not Allah, Ganesh, Shiva, Zeus, Thor or Vishnu? If I prayed to a muskrat and then found ten dollars in my pocket, what would that mean?
