JESUS Blessed my Life this week

Jesus did not only come here to teach us about God He actually existed at the very foundation of our creation to become Lord and King of his church. Since he existed from the beginning does that mean he was to show up out of no where to a people that was not looking for him and say worship me, No! You see this would easily give people an excuse to blame God for their lack of knowledge. So this brings us to old testament laws and history, it was Gods plan to place regulations and laws on a society over a long period of time that the end results would produce prophets and documented biblical text that would all point to the arrival of our King, its what our life is all about, comeing to know Jesus. As for the reference to Ephesians and wives submitting to their husbands I believe further reading in that chapter will show that the greater responsibility is put on the husband and that is for the husband to love his wife like Christ loved the church and to sacrifice himself for his wife, if this truly takes place then I don't think a wife will mind submitting to her husband and what a beautiful relationship that will be. As for everyone being God's children I believe the bible teaches strictly against this, yes God wants everyone to come to him and it is a christians duty and desire to see people as souls that will spend eternity at one place or another it is plain to see that by the free will of people some have chosen to make the devil their father. I also am aware that this is a chicken forum and I think they are the bomb.

He blesses me daily, but especially today when while my 15 and 13 year old daughters were home alone, two men knocked on the door and then stole our lawnmower. Thank You God for keeping my children safe. My quick thinking girls immediately called me and I alerted the Sheriff's dept. The caught the theives less than 20 minutes later. Praise God!!

Very wise sentiments in those words and something that no matter what your faith needs more practical application in this day and age.

I agree, Chickenator, the Bible says He gives the power to become children of God to all whosoever will believe in Jesus. Only.

We are one of the ways God shows His love for others, is through us. We love them enough to tell them the truth, and believe it enough to live it out in our own lives.

It's a blessing to see how many chicken folks are believers in Jesus.

I pray you are having a blessed day!

Thanks Brother Bill, Idid have a blessed day and I also noticed that you are a new egg too so welcome to BYC. You too have a blessed day.

I dont know for sure that God dosent consider all people to be his children. He put life in each and every one of us, formed us in our mothers womb and knew each and every day of our lives before we lived it. I do know that he did give us our free will therefore we can choose to believe that he created us and Jesus is the way to heaven or we can choose that he didnt. Thus meaning everyone has the oportunity to come back to him but we were all his to begin with. This is just my opinion.

On a different note..

I think that a place to say what we've been blessed at isnt such a bad idea.

Since this thread is still going strong with blessings, I want to put the story of two little girls on here. They are the twin daughters of a cousin of mine. When she was pregnant she saw no reason to get medical care, eat right, or stop using street drugs. They were born very premature. One has cerebral palsy as a result. Now that they are 10, the other problems are all evident. One of the main ones is that both have an IQ in the mentally retarded level. Sad, right. Yes, very sad. However, nothing is quite so sad as the fact that, at 11 months, their mother was put in prison and they moved in with their Aunt. She and her son raped them, beat them, starved them...they did manage to eat from the trash can and dog bowls, however, and survived. They were cut with knives and burned with cigarettes. When I found out what was going on, they were 4. One weighed 20 pounds and one 25, neither was potty trained, and they didn't know how to sit at a table and eat. Couldn't sleep in bed because they never had so they would fall out over and over. Yeah, they came to live with me. I had them for 2 years but they finally had to go......one of them tried to kill my youngest son and we became frightened. So now they live with my mother (she had no snmall children of course) where I can still be a regular part of their life and we are all pretty happy. They have severe psychological damage....who wouldn't. However, they really can't fix it because they don't have the understanding level to get better....even if they did it probably wouldn't happen...not after what they have been through. One wets herself constantly, one has an eating disorder (yes, at 10). My mom makes sure they go to church every Sunday so they can learn about god. They have nightmares about the things they learn in church and express concern over why a god would allow them to be tortured but protect others. They will never truly know right from wrong so some of you think they are exempt from his wrath. I am just glad I know it will never be an issue. I know that these girls have already experienced hell....the very real hell that DOES exist...and now we are working together to give them a good life. It is a shame there was no one to protect and cradle them as a tiny child being brutally tortured.

Stuff like this is why I have a hard time believing in a benevolent God.

If I had not already been an atheist prior to getting the girls, I would have become one that day. At least I knew that it was just the result of a brutal, natural, world.

They are wonderful, beautiful, special, little girls. I could NEVER believe a god would allow them to be tortured like that. I chose to intervene when I found out...why would some omniscient god turn away?

Multiply your experience by thousands. There are reports in the paper every stinkin' day about babies and children being tortured. It makes it hard to accept that an omniscient god could allow that to happen. Bless you for caring for them and trying tomake their lives a little less miserable.
