I don't see any reason why all thirteen shouldn't hatch

No more out yet but almost all are pipped.
They all looked good on Day 18. I weinied out and stuck them under broody hens (I split the 13 between 3 hens already on eggs).
No Naked Necks in there but there is that crested duckling that hatched this morning (a straggler, it's sibs hatched Sun).
There's a light blue, a darker blue, and one that looks black --- but must be very dark blue, right Jay?
Jada, Still no luck hatching? I'm sorry. I'd loan you one of these broody hens if you were close enough.

Lisa, still no luck. Not sure what I'm doing, or if it's the incubator. I am thinking about getting a pc fan for my incubator. Maybe it would work better if I did that.

Wow, those are great results! 13 out of 14 with shipped eggs...you are my idol!

One thing I noticed is that it is difficult to tell the color right away. That dark color can turn out to be blue or black. A blue roo with a blue hen should throw 50% blue, 25% splash and 25% black. I have been getting all blue and a couple of splash. I have one I am hoping is black.

Ah, for some reason I thought you had a splash roo with blue hens and the chicks would all be blue or splash.
That chick's a black then

I got lucky and got a steady-eddie LG --- got it in Oct '05 and I don't think it's ever been unplugged since.
Heck, I don't even keep a hygrometer or thermometer in it most of the time --- just do a check once in a while and add water when it goes dry.
The hatcher is another story (and why I put Jay's eggs under the hens to finish).

After candeling the other night and throwing them all out, I decided to take another chance and set 23 eggs of my own in the incubator. If they work out they will hatch on March 10th. So anytime after that I will be ready for the box. My mom thinks I need to make one out of wood. I am really considering doing that this weekend, and I might just take my turner out and put them in cartons. That seemed to work out best with the first ones I had from you. They developed, just didn't hatch. My hubby got a big cooler also from his kids, and thought about using that, but have to come up with heating elements and fan.

My Giants are due to hatch on the 27th 7 of the 8 look really good. 1 was clear. I'm so excited!! Can't wait to hear your out come.

My black Jersey Giants are due to hatch on Feb 29. My friend at the post office called me this morning, and my next batch of eggs is ready to be picked up. This new batch is 10 Jersey Giants abd 4 silkies.
