Jody and Carri, Here's Nugget!

Here's my sweet little gold Nugget (well, not so little, really. She's a heavy girl). I hope she'll go broody again in the spring because she was a wonderful mother. She raised Ivy's daughter, Fern, who is now 23 weeks old and close to laying. Nugget came from hinkjc and was named after a sweet hen CarriBrown lost.

She's a real sweetheart. Sometimes, she just doesn't want to be caught, but others, if I hold out my hands and say, "Nugget, come to mama, baby", she'll walk right up to me and lets me pick her up and love on her. She has a beautiful expression to her eyes. I remember when she was little, she was so fluffy that she looked like she was wearing someone else's feathers that were too large for her. We adore her.

Kate, that's so funny since my Nugget's legs are about as short as your Nugget's are long, LOL. Carri, does she do your Nugget proud? I think she's the perfect shade of gold for a Buff Orpington, personally.
