Joined to find advice/tips on getting a necklace out of my chickens insides :(

Too bad you could not convince these people that this is a Therapy Chicken. Nowadays anything can go for a Therapy animal and you folks have a lot of love and money invested in this animal that is part of your family. You've had it for 3 years with no problems at all and now all of a sudden it is a problem. That's crap. I would try to get online paperwork to prove that you need this animal in order to keep your sanity and that it does provide peace to your family. Good luck dealing with the jerks that want to take it from you.

You need a docs paperwork for a therapy animal and then someone could tell the county where to stick it!
My friend told me she was getting one online not legit but that people would not know. Don't know if she ever got by with it or not. I am not suggesting you to be illegal just trying to think of an out so you can keep that chicken.

Oh I’m def going to try to keep it I love her. My sister may take her for now but I’m not so happy with that idea. She has 5 cats and who is going to give the chicken the medicine she needs, check on her eating/ poop? That’s why I suggested my boyfriends house because I could’ve stayed and slept over but my mom got toxic with that idea and disrespected me and my religion with saying gross things about that idea.

What do u mean ?
Usually people who need a therapy animal use a dog but they are not limited to a dog. Therapy animal are used for a number of things such as panic attacks and for diabetics I'm told before they have an episode of blood sugar going bad. I've heard about the blood sugar but I have no evidence of it as I have not needed and not researched it. I know of on person that does use a dog for panic attacks. I see specially outfitted harnesses on dogs in big box stores from time to time. Usually there is a sign on the dog requesting that no one is to pet the dog.

There is enough information on this page to start the exploration of an animal for mental support. If a doc signs off on it the County has to allow it.

It’s a little confusing but therapy animals, service animals, and emotional support animals (ESAs) are all totally separate things. Service or assistance animals are the ones you described that help blood sugar or panic attacks, guiding the blind, or whatever. They are specifically trained to perform specific tasks to mitigate a disability. And they DO NOT require any sort of certification or registration or anything. They are allowed anywhere. But are only allowed to be dogs or mini horses. ESAs are just pets with no special training and no public access rights but they are allowed on airplanes and pet free housing. They do require a letter from a doctor or psychiatrist, etc. for the housing I believe. But there’s a lot of scams online. They can be any animal I believe. Therapy animals help other people like they go to schools or nursing homes, etc. to visit with people and do require training and certification.
