I don't mind, I'd just like a verified opinion on my roo.We will stop spamming.
I think he is very pretty and majestic.I don't mind, I'd just like a verified opinion on my roo.
I'll try. For some reason I thought that thread was dead, though.I have some BCMs, but still don't consider myself qualified.
I'd post some pics on the BCM thread. There are some fabulous folks there that know exactly what to look for.

Well, I've got several roos with black breasts, but even more hens that are almost solid black. I think I'm going to use this boy to try and introduce some more color, and maybe they will even themselves out. Do you think? It has its ups and downs. But there are still a few folks there that will give you honest, specific critiques (edit - it may take a few days though). I see you found it.
Personally, I think he's beautiful, but one thing that bothers me is the copper on his chest. He is still plenty young, and will still change some though. I do believe the SOP says some is acceptable, but I think its hard to breed back out to solid black.
Combs are easier to work with, and less critical, I think, but I'm not sure how hard it is to get rid of sprigs.
I know shape and carriage, especially tail carriage are also very important, but not something I am versed enough to comment about.
