Now this guy was to mad , plus teenage girl...plus the words he said" he was going to beat her into submission.

Still I knew my father did what he did , to stop the crazy things we did, good thing or we would be more likely dead.

My guess less than 12 over all my life.........yes i even loved him for teaching us the right thing in life.

I am all for a spanking when needed.
I was 16 the last my mom slapped me across the face and I deserved it.

But this was too much. A couple three swats maybe...but he came back for more. He enjoyed it too much.

It seems unlikely in this day and age, but I've been "spanked" (although my dad does like to use different methods from time to time

) a lot... especially when I'd just become a teen and my parents were at the end of their tethers.

I had a boy and two girls and was a believer that a whack once in the while when called for would do some good. The problem was that I had no problems with giving my son, the eldest, a smack once in a while, but I could never quite bring myself to doing the same with the girls. I can remember one time that I thiought I went overboard in the punishment and within a few minutes I realized and I apologized to my son. He told me somewhat recently that he remembered that and not in a bad way. My children are all in their mid30's now but after a while it began to be frowned upon to use any type of physical or corporal punishment on your children. A woman stands a good chance to be arrested if she gives her acting up toddler a slight whack on the rear. This type of incident with the Judge will swing that pendulum even further to not allowing any physical punishment at all for children with people thinking that it is all just cruel. That is just not true. The Judge's actions are horrible but some physical punishment I believe is OK.
