@ Rin: They really will peck at and eat ANYTHING they can fit in their little curious beaks- including bedding. For the first day, I usually put a layer of paper towel over the shavings so that they learn to eat the food first and peck at the shavings second.
I thought I would post some update pictures of my July hatch. The big ducklings are sleeping outside, so I haven't got pics of them, but Ping is still inside with the two peachicks.
So here is Ping, with the two peachicks.
And a side view of my first born peachick. She's about a week old now.
And just because he's cute, Ping again! (BTW, he's about 2 weeks old now... he should be twice this size!)
