Yeah they barely go through two 50 lb bags of feed before they’re mature.Pretty hard to beat from a feed efficiency point of view as well, I'd imagine.

How many do you have? Do they need gamebird feed?Yeah they barely go through two 50 lb bags of feed before they’re mature.
I feed mine the Dumor quail feed (someone people suggest its not good, but my quails health speaks for itself). Some people do not like Dumor, but that is what is available in my area. How many do you have? Do they need gamebird feed?
Awww... that must have been a great feeling to get someone started with a first flock!I feed mine the Dumor quail feed (someone people suggest its not good, but my quails health speaks for itself). Some people do not like Dumor, but that is what is available in my area.
I have about 15 right now (I did have 65 until I sold them all). I just ordered 50 eggs. Usually my quail chicks sell quick so those that are hatched will be sold and I may keep about 5 from each color (Rosetta & Schofield Silver).
I honestly have found my passion... Raising and breeding quail and chickens... Yesterday I drove an hour with my hubs to get someone their first ever flock. I have them free eggs and our new business cards (they look so amazing). It wasn't about the money or anything. I was happy he chose us to get his first flock from. He sent me a pic of his whole family playing with the chicks and I almost cried. It was their anniversary which is funny because I got chicks on my anniversary.
The pic had the kids, mom, and grandmother in it... Truly a heart melting moment. The hubs is almost more into it than I am lol. He loves meeting the people who buy our chickens.Awww... that must have been a great feeling to get someone started with a first flock!Nice anniversary in my book!

Can I ask what area? I have had so many issues with boxes leaving my post office and sitting in a warehouse here in Ohio for a week that I've withdrawn my ebay listings for a while and am only doing local egg sales.Pheasant eggs set yesterday. I should have 2-3 sets of eggs arriving in the mail today. I won the auction for the Blue Double Laced Barnevelder eggs! I love the coloring on these chickens and so excited to get them and hatch them out!! Crossing my fingers they arrive okay as they are coming from the area that I have had trouble with shipping. The ebay auction said Expedited shipping, so maybe better than the priority that the other 4 were shipped.
How exciting. I contemplated some Barnevelders before an think they are beautiful birds. I will live vicariously through your hatch.Pheasant eggs set yesterday.
