jumbo coturnix quail sexing?

    I have two jumbo quail that i can't really tell the sex on.

    this one i don't have a clue on and the next one i think is a male.

    Those are "Wild type" Brown COTURNIX.... "jumbo" is a SIZE.
    and they both look to be Roos. Hens have speckled chests . There is a chance that the 1st pic is a hen but at the pic angle ...

    The first looks like a female, she does appear to have some spots on her breast.

    X 2 ..the roos loose their spots as they age ...by 5-6 weeks they wont really have any down the center of the chest.
    Yours don't look very old at all especially if they are "jumbos".
