Jumping Spiders? -- Who likes 'em!?

awww. you've been very nice and have not killed my spiders in my house at least.

Your house, your rules. All of your little spider buddies haven't tried invading my personal space yet. They've been warned. *shudders*

I accidentally carried one home today from my afternoon walk.

"What's in your hair?" he asks politely because he never knows if I decided to add living hair extensions.

"What? Where?" I take my glasses off as if I could curl my eyes over my head or something.

The husband peers closer then jumps back with a shout. I flinch in alarm when a rather large spider leaps from my hair and toward my husband who was grabbing his belt loops as he skitters backwards.

The spider lands on the floor and assumes an aggressive stance. All three inches of her and her 50 babies clinging to her back. Sorry I had disturbed her family, I scoop her in a Styrofoam cup and take her and her babies outside.

As I sit here and type this I'm feeling something in my hair. I guess I'll have to check for a stray. Scrap. Now I have to go look in the mirror where my reflection is more frightening than the spider.

My daughter is in her thirties now, but when she was growing up, it seemed that there were always jumping spiders where she was. I told her they were her 'guardian' spiders. One day, she was laying in the sun by our pool that was enclosed within a wooden deck, and she screamed, "One of those spiders is watching me!" I went out, and this little black jumping spider kept coming up between the boards of the deck and would stare at her until she looked back at it. Then it would duck back between the boards! It kept doing this for a long time! It must have been male!

eeeewie! I hate spiders with a pasion! but there was this one jumping spider (lots of pretty blue spots glowing) in my mail box....I would go out to collect the mail and there it was watching me...tried to use the mail to make it leave!...no luck...would snatch the mail out quick and it would run to the back of the mailbox......go out in am and put in outgoing mail...watching me again! arrrgh! go away! I dont like you! Finally after a week of this I get it to leave the mailbox and saw it scuttle down the stand......
