I like looking at Jumping Spiders. I think they're cute, in a hairy spider kind of way, but I don't want to touch them or for them to touch me. Ewww!

I had to go back and watch that again......the way he angled himself to jump onto the camera! Never saw one with a red abdomen though.

Alright, a thread for the love of someone most do not appreciate.

I always appreciate and accept Jumping Spiders, Cellar Spiders, and the sort that are harmless and infact eat more harmful type insects. I also do love getting some good photographs of our other natives, such as the Araneus diadematus.

DS had a little tarantula as a pet. It took a few days of handling before I got used to the idea, then I got attached to the little fella. The cat liked 'im also, but a little to much. I was a little irked when DS forgot to fasten down its lid. Cat found it two days later.

I've been bitten by two spiders (that I know of) in my whole life
old.gif
and the worsted one was a little tiny brown wood spider. Hurt a little bit for a few minutes, but it wasn't his fault that I leaned on him. Some reason I can't even remember the other spider at all now, but I just know it happened.

I was also bit by a camel spider (not a true spider). I nearly died of fright, but they can barley even pinch you with those giant mandibles. I had him captive and stuck my finger in his face. Go figure. But I was like 12 yrs. old too.

he is sooooooooooo pretty!

Jumping spiders are so cute! We have lots of black ones in the grass around here, so when you go out walking in the fields there's this black wave of little jumping spiders ahead of you. :3

We also have a resident cellar spider in the bathroom. She's been there since 2009. I keep meaning to name her...
