I have 2 bantam cochin eggs that are developing nicely in my homemade incubator. Plus 7 show-quality ameraucana eggs with definite signs of life, and a couple more that are questionable. That leaves 10 eggs that are not doing anything. All except the cochins were shipped, so not totally surprising. 5 had ruptured air bubbles, so I pretty much knew they weren't going to develop. I also have 10 ameraucana eggs under a broody cochin, and at least a couple of them are growing. Not sure about the rest of hers. The dummy was off the nest so long yesterday that the eggs got cold.

A bit late but can I join? I've got 7 partridege wyandotte bantams in my incubator due 1st june, 3 silver laced wyandottes hatched under a broody last Thursday (my 1st broody hatch) and 6 chicks just left the brooder from my first incubator hatch on 27th April. I'm hooked! Think I might try ducks next.

Sure u can join. I'm due the 29th so I'm a little early as well, but the bator will be unplugged on the first so I thought that was close enough. Ducks are sooooooo messy by the way, got rid of my two pekins cuz I just couldn't stand them anymore.

Okay we finally candled! Only did a few Mama wasn't happy! We got babies! I am leaving everything be until we see some chicks!
