June 2015 Hatch A Long HAL

The jury is out on washing them. Some swear that washing them causes lower hatch rates some always wash them. I go a middle ground, if they aren't really dirty I don't wash them. I raise ducks primarily so my eggs can sometimes be muddy so I gently wash them with just water and my fingers. I on't have an issue with hatch rates so far.

I just don't want more chickens right now, but who can say no to free chickens when somebroody else is doing all the work?

My 6 chicks. The hatch is really staggered, started yesterday about 9:30pm it's now 8:30pm n still I see progress in other eggs.

Greetings, I'd like to share my hatch dilemna..

Ordered 20 eggs from McMurray, they (24 eggs) arrived 14 May late. Let them rest until Friday morning and set them. No problems with temp and humidity. On Thursday this week (20 days), three delightful youngsters hatch, since them, nothing.
How much longer should I wait? I candled as many as I could but they are a dark. Nothing stinks.

I have 3 pipped duck eggs in the bator and i can hear peeping and see wiggling. Hatch day is tomorrow!
