Oh @MesMama what a broody mess you have there.
I hope hubby gets those boxes done for you, soon, lol.
In my hen house, Mrs. Alpha decided she's not so broody after all, and that's ok with me. I went out yesterday morning to find Mrs. Broody fluffed up and stomping around the backyard chasing cats. When she went back in the pen she sat on Mrs. Alphas eggs, so I removed them and tossed her back on her own nest. That leaves Mrs. Broody on her day 16 ish eggs in the now closed-off chick pen on her own. I put a litter box full of hay on the porch for the other hens to lay in. They're all over it. I guess I should put fresh hay in the hen house, too. Maybe they'll all go back in there to lay.
The drama has abated and the wait continues.
