Thank you. I will have to join the july hatch along as I have 2 batches set to hatc in July.

Just checked on the second batch of eggs. Day 22 and nothing. It's got me wondering... These second eggs came for a VERY fertile Ameraucana. My roo might be kind of old but that Ameraucana...? Why won't they hatch!?!? My hen is being a very good mom! I really feel sorry for her for suffering though all the heat of June like she did. She's very dedicated to her eggs.

I locked down 6 eggs 1 turkey 5 GCM due yesterday so far 2 GCMs hatched 2 more zipping and 2 just sitting there...Amber I feel for you I started with 18 turkey eggs only one made it to lock down and I saw it moving and still it hasn't even pipped...So when I let my silkies set I'm still going to go crazy...I just got a TurnX incubator wow it holds the temp steady and the humidity too and it turns the eggs wow I'll see soon if that improves my hatch rate and I blame my failures on the shipping. Hopefully this fall I can set my own and I'll see if that helps.

Well I have 1 speckled sussex chick. No other pips out of the remaining 4 eggs.

Well all four of the neighbors kids eggs hatched and chicks are fine... now to hatch the other four that were under the same hen. Maybe lockdown mid week? His hatch rate was definitely better than mine. 50% that made it to lockdown of mine VS 100% of his..... Is this "NO GOOD DEED GOES UNPUNISHED"?? HA

Took the eggs from her earlier.

Busted them all open and nothing even tried to form.

I really feel horrible that I suck at candling. I just let her keep all the eggs and was praying for something to come out of them. I still feel bad that Suri sat though all the June 90*+ heat. I threw her out in the yard with my other birds and she's not happy about it at all. She's attacking the rooster. It cracks me up. He's just standing there like.... "Duuuuh! I'm stupid."

Ive candled many a time, and Im still not sure. Alot of times I leave them in just in case. Till like lockdown, when I can most definately tell a difference in 1 that is a quiter and 1 that is doing alright.
