June hatch-a-long!

I've got 6 brahma eggs in the incubator, mix of frizzle and smooth, due to hath on 5th June.

I candled on Sunday and again today and 5/6 look good and one I'm not sure about! I can see some veins but only a teeny air cell, it's a long, thin egg compared to the other too.

I've also got one silkie x Indian game egg in there too, only put that in the incubator yesterday, so if it is fertile it will be a staggered hatch. Not ideal, but there was space for another egg and I couldn't resist popping it in!

Yep! And our rooster is the nicest bird we have. Sadly though our hen got locked out of the nesting boxes (she’s in a tiny coop and freaks out when she gets out and finds she’s not in the big coop so she’s supposed to be locked IN). Therefore, she was off the eggs for probably a good six or so hours. Luckily it’s really hot and humid here right now though. Hopefully the hatch still turns out okay :fl.
I hope it does too!

Well I hope you get some hatches!

I'm hoping to put an EExSSH mix under the broody.

hatching some mixed breeds
Yesterday I put two Mille Fleur d’Uccle eggs under a broody. I’m so excited to be hatching again! And this time little bantams!

Is there anyone else planning to hatch? I didn’t notice a June hatch-a-long yet so I thought I’d make one.
i put mine in yesterday too:highfive:! 7 mixed breed also under a broody. my broody is a polish (i have heard that is super rare for a polish to go broody). this is my third hatch, but first under a broody. i am going to candle on day three and fourteen. i am hoping :flthat the eggs will hatch, all but two were refrigerated so this is an experiment

Jumping in! I set 2 dz Swedish Duck eggs yesterday, and in 7 days I'll be adding about 2 dz (ish) Partridge silkie and Salmon Faverolles eggs to the group. First really big hatch, and looking forward to really seeing what my new Brinsea can do.
Welcome!! Oh I love this breeds! <3 Please let me know how the new incubator goes! I've been looking in a bit on Brinsea bators.

Oh sweet! My broody is an incredibly ugly EE but she's hatching babies so I can't complain. Yes I think it is... Hatching under a broody sounds SO much easier than an incubator! Please keep me updated on the refrigerated eggs!
