Oooooh nope nope nope.
Yeah that’s what I said when I saw them. I have never seen his setup. I call him a friend but he’s basically a customer who takes our unwanted cockerels or chickens. I’m unsure how they got that dirty but I was pretty shocked. My eggs are always crystal clean.

Day 6 here. 22 eggs.
I have something in 20 for sure. A few have really thick or over pigmented shells and I can't tell exactly what is in there, but like the old spaghetti sauce commercial..."It's in theeehre!"

2 eggs are still clear/appear infertile.
Tomorrow I'll candle all and mark the 7 day air cell. Is this the right time to toss the two clears? I'm guessing it's well past the point of crossed fingers and hopeful thinking on them?

If you don’t see anything by day 7 I would toss them. Just make sure there’s nothing some eggs are harder to see than others

Depending on the color of the egg I do toss most clears by day 7. If they're difficult to see into I just put a question mark on them and check back after a few more days.

My Lavender Orpington eggs arrived today. The packaging was great! There was not an ounce of air in the box! The air cells are a little deformed, but not bad. And no cracked eggs at all. I will set them in the incubator tomorrow after they have rested for a day. My Swedish Flower Hen eggs and my Copper Maran eggs should be here tomorrow.

So the seller of the Buff English Orpington and Isabella Leghorn eggs won me over ten fold! He was so quick to respond, honest about his mistake in probably grabbing eggs that a broody must have been sitting on and will be shipping me more eggs once he has enough. I'm going to be paying for the shipping but he's replacing ALL of the eggs including what the post office was responsible for scrambling! :yesss:
