Pips abound over here! No one is zipping yet and I don't hear any peeping yet. The suspense is killing me! My first pip on the wrong end is breathing and thanks to the quail experts I will stop freaking out and try not to hover over the incubator or here on byc! Good luck my fellow fine feathered friends!

Well, haven't read this whole thread yet. I will catch up. I did it again. Asked a neighbor if she had any guineas to spare. She said they were just laying and if she found a nest she would call. Anyway. while they were mowing they ran across 14 guinea eggs. She called and I ran over and picked them up. Popped them into my Farm Innovator on May25. The same afternoon my dh was weed whacking the rugosa and blackberries around our property and found out where my girls had been hiding their eggs all spring. 14 more mutt eggs. Into the bator! Hope we have fuzzies around the 14th. I don't know how long they had been sitting. I will candle on the 4th. Hope there are some good ones. Wish me luck

Sadly my 1st chick of the months didn't make it. My broody had a cracked egg and a cold dead chick in front of her when I checked this AM. Far as I know its her 1st clutch she's sat whole time. Haven't heard anything else when I checked on her or seen anything lately. Will check again in a bit.

On a posative note I set some MORE EGGS. all for June hatches. Added I think 2-1/2 dz chicken eggs due with guinea/duck on 22nd. And 16 guinea 6 rouens due the 29th.

Hatches due the 8th (Chicken) and the 11th (guinea)

Broody guinea had no chirps when I checked so still no idea when she due. ALL my hens hid their nest again. Oh well I have 96 in bator now. They can all hatch a bunch and i'll end up with 200, if I can catch the little buggers. Maybe Broody will have a 2nd set before fall/winter.
What ever happens I ready (NOT REALLY) to roll.....

And just remembered to hit submit! 45 minutes after typing whole thing

I added a wet paper towel to bring it up for me. It worked really well, but it will dry out so keep feeding it water. Make sure it is in a position where you can reach it with your straw. This was in addition to the water in the trays.
i get this question once and awhile i use a 5cc child's med syringe to add and subtract water from the well for humidity control, to high i draw water out to low i inject water in i have aquarium tubing with a 2 Ts attached inside going to all the wells it works quite well
