June Hatch a Long

Hey guys! We put 18 eggs in our 'bator June 1'st (the hubs put them in slightly after midnight, does that mean they'll most likely hatch in the middle of the night?) This is my 2'nd attempt at incubating, my 1'st was extremely unsuccessful. Hopefully this time around goes better! Can't wait to see pics of everyone's feather babies!!

could go day 19 @ 10 am or day 22 @ 5 am for some reason they are never hatching when its a good time for you good luck this time were pulling for ya

I had accidentally posted in May's thread sooo... here are the two that pipped partially zipped and then got stuck. I had to help them both out today after almost 2 days of their own efforts. Glad that at least there was a pair. Shipped eggs are just not ideal :/

Here something i was wondering.....When you place water in the incubator should it be distilled or purified or would tap water suffice? Was not sure if it makes a different. I was wondering since tab water is treated could it give off chemicals harmful to hatching eggs...I might be overthinking this but just wondered if anyone had any idea.

i have always used tap water and never had a issue at time i find it necessary to add salt to the water to aid in evaporation to increase humidity when it is extremely dry here

I ordered my digital therm/hygro from incubatorwarehouse.com - one probe goes into the vent hole for my Brinsea, and measures both temp and humidity inside the incubator. It has a button that you can press to measure the exterior unit's reading of room temp and humidity. I paid $26 total including shipping and handling. Hope that helps!

you have incubators.org right there in erlanger ky ever use them for any thing ?
