That was me & my broody! She's my first so maybe it's not necessary but since she had a terrible panic and needed to get OUTside, didn't want to be confined, it's easier if I remove her and let her run around outside while I do chicken chores. I make sure to put her food and water next to her. Otherwise I don't think she'll ever get off the nest until she reached that panic point again. She's quite entertaining when I put her out. I do also put a small dish of scratch within her reach while she's on her nest - spoiled, I know!
