June Hatch a Long

I have a broody hen (Ameraucana) and just put 8 Orpington eggs under her yesterday. They'll be blue, black or splash. I got them from a nearby farm and
the drive was only 45 minutes. I didn't check them and I probably won't candle. I'll just let her handle everything. I'm excited. This will
be her first try hatching chicks. :D

I'm In!!! First time hatching!!! I put 6 eggs in the bator and 6 under a broody silkie yesterday. Hatch date june 23rd. A mix hatch of Isbar, Cream Legbar, Crele laced polish, and a lonly Crele Pendesenca. I just have a cheapy LG, but so far temps are stable and hummidity is good. Hoping for a good hatch!
Good luck everyone!

. There have been many a chick hatched in them cheap LG,s good luck

. No none that I know of the brinsea is a fine incubator if the humidity pump is added it's fool proof there are a few here that use them with great results

Unfortunately no humidity pump at this stage but would love one. Incubator is arriving tomorrow so will clean it and put it on till my eggs are ready to go in. I am trying so hardd not to be like a kid on their birthday with presents but I think I am failing.

THis all started as a way to break her from beeing broody as i had no fertile eggs and couldn't keep her off the nest. So i figured if she wanted to be stubborn about it i might as well let her hatch some chicks. I orderes some eggs and they shipped from CA to PA in 2 days. They sent extras though and my poor girl couldn't fit 12 eggs under her, So I went to TSC and picked up an LG. ( no sense letting good eggs go to waste) So i set it up and here we are! :) I am so excited! I can wait!

. You will be just fine without it they make a good bator ,,, and if you have a 50/50 hatch you'll be hooked lol
