June Hatch a Long

Does it count if I started half of mine in May? I put 20 White Silkies, and 22 Black Australorps in on May 25th, then put a hen on 6 and 6 of the same breed the following day. Put up a full 42 Australorps on Friday the 31st, then finally let my poor silkie hen have 6 of her own eggs to sit on June 3rd. I can only leave the poor girls sitting on empty nests for so long before I let them be mamas.
Almost forgot, 6 peacocks and about a dozen guineas also set last week. The peacocks wont hatch til next month though :)

Yep I did that, but I am seeing only dark areas, the nearest i can see to veining is dark streaks, but nothing difinitive.

Well its your choice, Me I would cull it. I would much rather avoid an egg exploding and possibly infecting the rest with bacteria. But I always open anything I cull into a zip lock bag, so I have learned what I am seeing. If you have more than 1 that way, cull one and open it, then you will know. A ruptured egg can kill a whole incubator full of eggs.

The hens are 1 year and 1 month old.  My first hatch gave me 2 from my americaunas and 6 from these 2 girls.  the roo was a GLW, but this time Im using a Penciled Rock roo.
. The Wyandotte may be your culprit they are notoriously hard to breed due to the amount of thick down in there personal spots of importance I visited a Wyandotte breeder back in April and her breeding flocks had funny haircuts going on and she explained this to me about the breed

What about Penciled Rocks? Hes 2 years old. I have never seen him cover my blue australorp, but I have seen him pursue and mount my black one.

Yeah i might have to cull one. I hate to do that because that will put me down to 6 eggs out of 12.

. I can't comment on the The rock, I'm setting up to breed slw around November so I have been getting up to speed on them as much as I can before i move them into the breeding pen

Here are 2 pictures...my camera died before I could get any further. These were the 2 eggs of most concern. I did recandle the others and I did find veining. I dont have the best eye sight in dim areas so its hard for me to see, but i did find it on the other 5.

Egg 1

Egg 2

I did all of it myself!! It was HARD!!

The air sacs seem really small to me, Im thinking its humidity. Its been super humid here since it warmed up but is still raining a lot. Humidity index for the area is 80%-98% Im pulling the plugs in the bator for a day or 2 to let it come down.

2 shipments. both only a state away. live in PA. got eggs from NY and Ohio. hoping for the best.
Well here's wishing you the best ! I myself am in a unique situation I only hope for a breeding pair and a trio is a bonus so I normally set 20 of a givin breed and shoot for a pair so low expectations leave much room for great things lol
