Hey el! I ended up with 2 like that. Only one made it, but I am pretty sure neither would have if I hadn't done anything. I have lost 2 so far, thinking maybe after the 4th, I need to replace them with 6 more!!
How's it going? This batch running on generators yet?! jk. I hope not!

not sure how those paper cartons will hold up to humidity and those baby's need a good non slip grip to avoid leg problems I remove my turner and place drawer liner on the screen and lay the eggs with the air cell high side up in a natural position if you watch them they will roll themselves into the proper final approach good luck

Lol I luv the generator bit too funny ,,, sorry to hear ya lost that one it was really bad in the pics and is the norm sorry to say but I l always loose a few here and then after hatch usually 2 for every ten seems to be the magic number it's a bummer when you work so hard to do it all right and then a few days later Bam there gone,,, as for this hatch I have 9 more Cochins moving into lock down tonight well I hope 9 they were all good at day 9 so hopefully they are all good to go I'll soon see I'll candle my next hatch while I'm in the bator I have 24 brahmas set for next week some time they were also all developing well 9 days ago and for the power it never seems to go out till I really need it you know like hatch day lol any way moll I'm glad to hear your chickies are doin good and you need to get that bator goin if ya want more for the 4th talk to ya later
 
Look at all the babies!! So cute! I tried to make my dad take his bators home with him, but he said I might need them...I've already been looking for more eggs!! We go on vacation in a couple weeks tho, can't have that... so maybe this fall...after I see what I will end up with roo,hen wise! I met a guy that raises welsummers locally, he ended up being a good friend of my parents back when...so maybe I can buy a few of those from him...anyone here have any reason why this chick and my newly hatched chicks shouldn't form a union with some of those chicks?! Haha..it's been a long week!!

You know jac it's funny you said that back in the may thread I think it was may I was chatting with ninetrees and oes and after I did a liltle research on them quite a story on there development and I have to admit the cock birds are stunning I might have to find a load for the Christmas run if I don't have to rewind any of the July run the LS are already taking up a 18 hole spot in the egg bag I'm so tweaked up on the coronations I think I might haul 40 of those my limit is 82 so with the LS rewind I'm at 58 if I do 40 Coranations
