June Hatch a Long

my three babies that hatched this morning are their brooder. Red sexlink on left, two buffs on right! 9 eggs left in bator, no more pips or zips. Rocking around in there though!

Thanks for the boost Kyle. My DH is saying we need to wait. I just had not read anything about others having to wait past the 22 day except for Maran. We will continue in holding pattern.

I've also heard that Jersey Giants can sometimes take up to 24-25 days to come full-circle. Also piggy-backing on what Kyle said...keep your hopes up. They may very well surprise you tomorrow morning with some zips and more pips following!

If I can only get $5.00.I'll be building another coop and have lots of eggs for the food bank.
Well, off to check broodies and hand out treats.................

If you are selling quality, heritage or rare breed chicks you make sure to advertise that way. Those who have done their homework will understand any difference in cost. I know when I first started looking into raising poultry I did not know what I was looking for but with a lot of reading and good advice, I found that I wanted heritage or rare breeds for many reasons. I also decided we would purchase chicks or hatching eggs from breeders and not a hatchery which is typically cheaper. The old adage you get what you pay for. We have seen the less expensive chicks for sell and now we know the difference. If I had not done the research up front, I may have fallen for a "good" deal.
