Hmmm,...normally plugs would be out for more oxygen to the chicks, but then you risk drying them out with the fan. I would google the instruction manual for the unit or wait to hear from someone with more experience using this unit. I'm using the same unit for incubating, but will be transferring eggs to my still air LG unit come lockdown time.Hovabator Genesis Question:
do you guys leave the red plug in during hatching for extra airflow?
I have my humidity around 65-70% steady. Day 20 and have some eggs pipped already.
located in AZ...dry as the desert right now outside.
thanks!!

I hope you get an answer soon! Good luck!
I have an internal pip and hear peeping!! woo hoo!!
Just out of curiosity, how many of you are just laying down your eggs for hatching vs in an egg carton or something similar?
Yay! Hatch little guys, you can do it!
I take out the turner and lay them down come lockdown time (today for me! Yippee!)
Good luck all of you in or going into lockdown, hope you all have great hatches
Lockdown for me is Monday evening and Thursday is hatch day. I only have shipped eggs so I am hoping at least some of them hatch.

Ah yes, I see. Sorry 'bout that! The red plugs are for humidity control. The holes for air flow are small and are open all the time.
