June Hatch a Long

Well 12 went into lock down. So far I have 3 out. 1 legbar and 2 Ameracaunas. I lost my silkie, lost 2 legbars, lost 3 Ameracaunas, all 6 hatched and died in the middle of the night. VERY weird. The 2 legbars pipped at wrong end, the 2 who died both his veins and bled out. 2 of the 3 ameracaunas did the same. Silkie, pipped and then just died. I still have 4 more going. Cant wait to get eggs in my new incubator. Having air flow issues right now! Always something!

Ok sorry. I had the worst night ever. I was in so much pain in my legs and feet. Think this heat is messing with my chemo. I woke hubby up at 4 crying and he rubbed my legs till I fell back asleep.
Anyways. I have another mystery chick kinda. One of my polish does not have a tophat and it has black on its beak. Think one of my black frizzles got ahold of one of my girls during free range. Lol. Oh well cuz it is a cutie. Maybe I will end up with a frizzles polish!

The same thing happened to me. I am still heart broken. I want silkie babies so bad I can't stand it.

I think Polish chicks are so cute!!!

My lavender orpingtons and blue marans are going on lockdown tomorrow.
Do you take out your automatic egg turner or just turn it off?
The eggs look so close to the heating element I'm afraid they'll burn themselves when they hatch!
But I'm also afraid if I take it out and lay them on their side some chicks could drown trying to hatch because they were repositioned.
My hatch date is supposed to Thursday, but last time (and only other hatch) they all came on day 19.
No one is rocking in there yet.
Also what do you put your humidity at on lockdown?

I take the turner out and hatch in egg cartons.

Tomorrow is my big day too I am taking mine out of the turner and laying them down this time. I have not had good luck with them being in cartons although I've heard people have great results that way.
I put my humidity at 65% and it will rise with the chicks hatching
