June Hatch a Long

Yeah, I'm just being silly! I'm sure some will be popping out tomorrow. Those mutts of mine must be pretty hardy! Gonna have another peek in there!
The first to pip (mutt) is working slowly & chirping now & then. Just saw the first Malines pip make a move. Yay! Progress!

been in lockdown just over twenty four hours ago. nothing yet... congrats to everyone on all the new babies

Ok. so I had another "ok" hatch...3 perfect little silkies. ..3 dead in the shell(with most of the yolk absorbed) and the other four must've quit sometime before that..still a had lot of yolk. I haven't noticed any huge spikes in temp OR humidity (or drops) What am I doing wrong???? I've tried researching the "what went wrong" things and can't seem to figure it out without the incubator having had the spikes/lows? Maybe I'm just having bad luck with silkies and Polish....the 3 I DID get..are SOOO stinkin cute! So I'm pretty happy...just wishing I knew what to fix so it doesn't keep happening! I've got a few more in the bator due to hatch in July...and then I believe I'm done hatching for the year! It's been fun and I can't wait for next spring to start again! lol is that bad??

When I locked up the birds tonight, I found 1 of my 3 laying hens in a nest box! Ack! A broody NOW?! I can't believe it! Good thing I've banked up some eggs. Guess I'll give her a shot at it. Hey, who's enabling who here? Lol!

Ok, got up at 5 am. I have all 4 mutt eggs pipped & 4 Malines. Yay! Thought the 1st one to pip would be out by now. He's got a bigger window open & can see his beak now. Still pecking away....

Brilliant congrats

My last one hatched this morning and is drying off so hopefully by tomorrow I can clean out the incubator because my next lot of eggs arrived this morning
