One good way to deal with feral cats is when you have some that get along good with everything going on . You trap them spay and neuter them and vaccinate them you also set up a place to feed them . That way you have 1 or 2 or 3 or what not cats that are healthy arnt breeding work with your lifestyle and as cats that arnt breeding they will run off other cats and you thn have a small cohesive group instead of a darwins grab bag that you never know what will pop up and if they will be pet or chicken or child friendly ect. I did a trap nueter release at the mc donalds where I worked it was backed up to a freeway with an underpass and rather large grassy areas and lots of bushes and peopel were forever dropping there kittens off there it was a big problem , I cuaght , fixed and vaccinated 6 cats was able to find homes for 5 of them and the one big tom I put back kept the area stray/ feral cat and pest free for more then a year befor he dissapeared.
