June to July hatch-a-long!!!

I'm sorry but I'm curious how you know hes a Male? Lol I would love to tell when they are little if they are males
The chicks I've hatched from my own birds have consistently hatched with either large combs or tiny combs. Large combs have been males in my experience.

Keep in mind this is a purebred fast feathering breed that has fast maturing males. This will not work with most breeds.

2/2 eggs hatched. At least I got something out of that disaster of an incubation  still haven't determined what went wrong.

Here's what my porcelain d'Anver looks like. A porcelain d'Uccle should look similar, I think. I want sure if it was lavender or porcelain but the wing feathers coming in now are telling me porcelain. I have a hunch it's a boy, which is fine, as I've set up a separate coop for the boys.

The porcelain d'Uccles I do have looked like that. But they aren't from my stock.
I'm planning on selling this chick if it isn't a porcelain. Here are some better images. I think it's a really light MF.

I set my silkie on 6 white star eggs almost 3 weeks ago and they are due to hatch on sunday/monday. I dont know how many im expecting so more than my last hatch would be great (it was zero).

Last time I made some ramshackle cage for her since I couldnt move her but this time I managed to get her into her own little maternity ward. She has settled really well in there.
