Just a messy vent or…?

My Silkie hen I noticed today has a very messy looking vent. Until now I have not noticed any abnormal poop (blood, color, etc) to alarm me, so is her vent just a mess because she needs to be cleaned due to the fluff? Or should I be concerned about an illness? She is the only one and no other symptoms of illness noticed.

Chickens are messy. Silkies get messier because of their floof. It might not look nice (and it might not feel *amazing* for her), but it shouldn’t hurt. You can clean it if you really want to.
