Very sweet birds but the noisiest by far of all of mine. One goes broody at least 3 times a year. But when they are laying, it's almost every day.Love your laces hens. EE are always look so sassy to me. Like they can’t give you the time of day . Your marans are beautiful as well been thinking about adding them next year. Are they a sweet bird?
Broody Judy is perfect . I plan on getting fertilized eggs. And trying that out hopefully I get a good broody bird.My Black Marans who I names Broody Judy would make an awesome mom. But, since I have no roosters, it would never happen. My Blue Marans never show signs of broodiness.
good soup. No but I had to rehome two roosters. The second I really was attached to I still miss him but there is a farmer not too far from me that takes in unwanted animals. He’s my plan b.Just keep in mind, you could hatch males. Have a plan in place.
