Just curious what everyone is charging for eggs this year.............

I live in SE Ohio and the going rate is $2.00 or $1.50 a doz. I charge $1.50 some of my customer will not pay more. They really don't care where they get their eggs. I just want to make sure that I am not stuck with a bunch of eggs. I raised them for myself mainly.

My daughter sells her eggs for $2.50 dozen. The feed prices have gone up so the price of eggs will be going up to $3.00 dozen. She doesn't make a killing anyways, but she doesn't need to be doing it for free either:D

She always sells out at the farmer's market too. She can probably get away with selling them a little more since she has to pay to rent the booth.

do you deliver? I will bet your customers would pay $2/doz. I have not looked at eggs in the store for years, but I am guessing they are $2/doz.. I worked as cook in a restaurant and we were paying 1.78/doz last spring already, (wholesale)..

the next time they pick up eggs, tell them that you have to raise your price next time. that is how I handled it, and I have not lost a single customer..

I sell mine for $3.50 and I have plenty of people waiting. Cheaper than you can get "cage free" eggs for at the store also.
