So sorry to hear about Coach. She fought long and hard. Don't take it to heart---you did all you could, and more than a lot of folks would have. I felt that I failed Victoria as well. I think I will purchase some needles and sutures to have on hand, if (God forbid) I ever have to do this. Maybe the vet will sell me some absorbable sutures with the needle attached.

Sorry, to hear about coach. I was amazed to read this. How did you manage to do the surgery without anesthetizing? Was she just too weak to fight?

I don't think I'd have the fortitude to do it myself.
