I'm another one that probably wouldn't have ventured into chicken-ownership if it wasn't for stumbling on to this site a couple years ago. I wonder what on earth I originally googled that got me here...? But you all sounded like you were enjoying your birds, so I got a few ducks, then added some banties, then some Freedom Rangers, and who knows what else I can get come spring?

This place is definitely where all the cool kids hang out.

I have to agree. This is the most supportive, caring, knowledgable group of people I have ever had the pleasure of meeting. Everyone gives without stinting; whether it's persnal experience, references to further information or a hug when things don't go right. I'm continually amazed and delighted whenever I log in. I seem to always find what I need. BYC'ers are the best people in the world
