day 5 for me!! 2 days until first candling!

Today is day 5th of the pea eggs "cooking" under my hen, and all 6 eggs are fertile!!!!

When they hatch should I take the chicks away, and raise them myself, or let the hen do all the work?

My momma peahen should start sitting in a day or so. She has her little cache of eggs and spends all day looking at them from every angle she possibly can and chasing the other peahens away. She loves stealing eggs from the other peahens for her pile and always gave me the stink eye when I went in to collect them for the incubator.

poultryfan73 - What day are they on? The first time I had 3 eggs due to hatch and none hatched, the 2nd time two hatched, and the third time 2 more hatch, and I have 3 more eggs due Thursday! I'm really wanting another color, besides IB.

But I'm trying not to complain!
