Just had 3 BS chicks hatch over weekend hopefully many more in the following weeks have 28 eggs set as of last night 16 of my own and 12 that I bought and hopefully many more to set as I just got first egg from my pieds last night and no eggs so far from my pen of 2 year old opals

I candled the first batch, and haven't ever candled any again. Two days prior I gentle shake them and if one's liquid it gets tossed. That how I decided who goes in the hatcher!

Ya it's killing me not to! And when I do candle I'm waiting till the 2nd candling session for a definite on who's getting thrown out

I have school tomorrow if it starts hatching while I am at school my mom will check me out so it can imprint on me...Hopefully the dog doesn't beat me to it! I hope the peachick is strong and healthy!

The three chicks that hatched Sat. are doing fine they have the sweetest faces I love those eyes. I'm amazed they already have wing feathers they are so long legged they walk right over their brooder mates. Wish i had a camera sadly I don't. yes I think I'd have to admit I might be bragging about my peeps. I think peacock chicks peep and chicken babies cheep. Thats all I have this A.M.
