Just some cute duck videos.

Pics

Just a little video of my favorite drake at my local park, this guy showed up there a little less than a year ago with a group of 2ish week old mallard ducklings, and very quickly outgrew all of his mallard brothers and sisters. He's just super friendly and the coolest looking Muscovy drake
He's so cute! What adorable tail wags!

@SolarDuck 's videos make me want muscovies!
100%. But I'm not sure they can all be that friendly.
My ducks drink the seeds and juice left over from tomatoes, too.

Awww adorable Pigweed!!!! I love you!! She's pretty assertive (more assertive than my Dot, whom she resembles). Is Nettle the brown duck? Is she the lowest one in the pecking order (among these three)? Dot is polite, just like her. My other two (Clementine and Wish) are VERY quacky and try to snatch the treats out of my hands.

Lol! You got it! My pecking order goes Pigweed, Thimbleberry, Nettle (brown duck - dark khaki campbell?). Pigweed knew as a day old duckling that all the food belonged to her and has been asserting herself ever since - quite loudly too!

Nettle is very sweet and tries not to be in the way. Awww.

Here is a vid of Karen's sister, I call her Suzie. I was SUPER happy to see her, because I actually have not seen her since I took in Karen, I think she was either out looking for her, or she was broody and did not successfully hatch any. Either way I'm super happy to see her she is my favorite park duck, the only "wild" duck that I know of who doesn't mind being pet while she is eating from me. If my city allowed more than 4 I would snatch her up in a heartbeat..

Does she have friends there?

Shes got her mama and she hangs out with the Muscovy gang there. A couple new girls just showed up at the park a few days ago and she seems to be hanging with them too.. I only live a couple blocks away I wish she would just fly by, see her sister in my backyard, and decide to come live here 😅

This video just came up in my snapchat memories from a year ago today.

These guys were my first 5 that I rescued as ducklings and raised, but unfortunately I did not have a house with a yard so I couldn't keep them back then, but these these are the ducks that got me into ducks! The only one of the 5 that I still have is Puffin(far right)
