The problem with silkie eggs is there are 4 different breeders who I want stock from...lol So I am trying to decide who to order from first. I've been planning on these ones the longest, so I decided I better do them first! Then I have a BYC'er I want to order from. lol Thank heavens we're getting a barn this year!

Its a lot of fun to spend money LOL It sucks when you only get three brids to hatch then they die on you a few weeks later.

you got it, but i try to get my eggs from someone how knows how to breed chickens, but anything can happen its a crap shoot

I just put 24 eggs into my brand new home made incubator last night. They're quite possibly of the Livorno breed, which originated from Italy in the 1850's. I purchased them from a trader named Joe. They set me back $4.98.

You think $80 on 24 eggs is a lot? For Coronation Sussex especially that's cheap.

I spend $60 for just about any 12 eggs I get of French Marans, and I spent $170 for 12 eggs of Tolbunt Polish with only two roosters out of it. . .

80 for 2 dozen eggs is actually a good price for the breeds you got.

Good luck on them!
