I have this 3 mo old lavender which I’m pretty sure is a roo, Ijust noticed him sitting like this all day today when resting, other than that he has been acting, eating and drinking and going to the bathroom as normal. Am I just over thinking this, or could this mean something more? Sorry I’m a newbie

Yes it is a rooster. Is it hot outside - could be a bit heat stressed - no reason to worry if he is not panting heavy

My cockerel would sit like that all the time, I actually started doubting myself, until he belted out a crow. I used to tell everyone he is a broody cockerel. LOL Gorgeous chicken.

Mine will sit around a lot of the day. As long as they look normal the rest of the time I don't worry.

Lol that’s what I started thinking mayybeee a hen about to lay after all but all other signs say cockerel so I just wanted to make sure it was nothing to worry about.
