Keep us in your thoughts...

I'm sooooooo glad you're ok! I always give bikers lots of space when I see them on the road. I've always wanted a motorcycle.......One day I'll get one, but I know how stupid people are around them. You two will be in my family's prayers for good health and recovery.

Do you know what the reason the other driver ran the red light? I hope they got punished good! Out here in the country I see red light runners all the time because they think there isn't enough traffic or law around to stop them. They don't want to wait at a light that no one else is sitting at. How stupid! I don't like being a tattle tail most of the time, but when I see this I usually call the highway patrol to report them. Several friends of mine died when I was in highschool when a driver ran a redlight and broadsided them. There was nothing left of their car and they all were crushed inside the car they were in. They were all wearing their seatbelts!

Holy Sheepdip! I'm so glad you're okay.
I've been a victim of car on car accidents and I can't imagine the thoughts that go through your head when you know the ijits gonna hit ya...well, ya I sorta can, but it's not suitable for a family site...

That's another reason for protective gear...
Hope you guys will be fine soon.

Best wishes to you and Skip.
My dh and I ride a goldwing and we love it.
But hearing stuff like this is scarey.....
I am so glad y'all are recovering.
Keep us up to date.

Dawn & Skip,

I'm so glad that you are both going to be okay. Rehabilitation requires alot of patience, hard work and support. Believe me, I've just about completely recovered from my tree accident back in September. I still have nerve problems in my ankle/foot where the hardware is in my ankle. Dr's say it might take a year for that to go away.
Count your blessings, someone was watching over you both because you are truly lucky to be alive.

Praying for a Painless & Speedy Recovery,
Dana

WOW! Dh and I ride on occasion and I think once you ride a bike you have a new found courtesy for motorcycles. I always give them lots of room. As fun as they are it can be real scary when people hog the road or are uncourtiouse to riders. So glad you are both o.k. and hope you all feel better soon.

Wow, so glad that you and your dear are okay, well at least alive and kickin. That had to have been the scariest thing ever. It really is a miracle that you guys survived. I love motorcyles, but they scare me to death. I'm so glad that you had leathers and a helmet on.

Thank you all, for your thoughts and prayers...

We have no clue as to why the person ran the red light...I've not seen any of the paperwork and I'm sure there's a thing or two that Skip has "forgotten to mention" to keep me from worrying.

What boggles my mind the worst about the whole thing is that there was practically no traffic on the road at the time. You'd think that something like this would happen during rush hour traffic...

Skip kept apologizing to me when I was first allowed to see him, and I told him that it was, in no way, his fault. Going through this with him just makes me love him that much more!

And as crazy as it may sound to some of you...I can't wait until we can ride again!!!

Dawn
