Keeping 2 cockerels...trouble?

Well shoot, things have taken a turn tonight. My easter egger cockerel starting terrorizing my silkie pullet (1/3 his size) and I couldnt stand listening to it so I brought her in where she cried for the silkie cockerel (she doesnt leave his side) so now I have them split up. I know this is all part of the chicken world but the poor girl was terrified and the little silkie cockerel was upset about it too. The easter egger cockerel seems to have zero interest in the easter egger pullet though they are siblings.
yep... done that...what's the solution?

Well crap Kate, that happened quick.
Im glad you seperated, those little silkie noggins can't take much abuse and boys get rough.

I adore my grumpy old dude.
It was a long and humpy road getting him grown into what he is but it was worth it.
Bonus, that he takes a load of chicken politics off my back.
You are just getting into the "fun" part.:p
I want an old boy like that, but mine are both 12-13 weeks!

Not to hijack the thread, but I think my question will benefit OP. How long does it take for the fellas to calm down? My alpha cockerel was a mess this morning, trying to hump everyone and everything. I separated him in a cage inside the run. I don't mind separating him, but catching him to get him in the cage is tricky because he's tiny, fast, and feisty!

ETA: He's just shy of 6 mo.

I put them back this morning, the silkie roo bit me when reaching for the silkie girl to get her out of the kennel. He is very protective of her which is kind of sweet. I reintroduced everyone and the two cockerels had it out a bit. A lot of stretched out necks and flapping but nothing serious looking and it just lasted a minute. Everything seems good so far. The silkie roo really holds his ground with the easter egger despite the size difference. I don’t see an obvious alpha between the two yet but I dont think the silkie roo is quite where the ee is maturity wise.

My old guy took about 8 months to stop being a sex crazed breakfast blocker.
Now im having him train his son so iv'e got a spare good one, seems to be working really well.
Bonus they all look the same so when one dies I pretty much have a copy physically too. :D

Never had much luck keeping more than one rooster together. They get along together fine as cockerels and maybe even for a year or two, but it most cases as they age, eventually one becomes dominant and mercilessly bullies the other if hens are around, no matter how many.
