keeping bees and allergies

i honestly dont know enough about bee keeping to know how he keeps the 4 hives on a small lot, there not huge, id say 30" x 30" and there on blocks/off the ground so the actual hives themselves are about 3ft tall.
all his hives are healthy, we get many honey bees at our house claiming my flowers and he sells his honey every year,
his hives are all on top of a small hill against his fenceline, neighbors dont seem to mind weve been here 10 yrs and hes had them there that long at least lol.
our town doesnt seem to care...

i dont get people complaining about bees being kept...i mean seriously...your going to have stining insects in your garden whether theres a bee keeper next door or not...id rather have a couple of hives of honey bees going about their buisnes who will leave me alone as long as i dont bother them than some of the alternatives...lol.

i do see what you mean about "evaluating the risks" but i think others are right, for me, given my medical condition and the risk of a reaction becomming worse, its just not worth it for me to have to handle the hive (and not worth paying someone either)
ive spent alot of time in hospitals over the years and i ABSOLULTLY wont use the er unless its an EMERGENCY..going to the er for a cough, cold, insomnia (unless its gotten to the point where its severe and causing issues) ect is why the ER's are always so backed up, so busy and er treatment is so expensive...
i mean for goodness sake i was in there a few years ago with menengitis and they had me sitting in a busy waitingroom filled with sick people and CHILDREN for 5 hours before finally putting me in a dark room to finnish me 3 more hour wait before being brought in for initial look...in that time i could have infected lord knows how many people, children especially with a potentially fatal illness...
i knew it was menegitis, ive had menengitis 4 times in the last 12 yrs (I dont build up any immunity at all to it) even my general practitioner called and told them, if she says it looks like menengitis its probably menegitis...

even the nurse when i finally got in a room said that many of the cases in the waitingroom and during my wait were NOT emergencies but instead people with no insurance using the er like a free clinic...

so yeah, on topic, i think im going to definatly look further into "renting" a hive space...ill seed a small area of wildflowers and clover in that area too and let it go very natural...i planned on doing a little "nature" garden area anyway with bat boxes and bird feeders and a snag tree ect...encourage a little bit of natural on my little farm and if i can support some honey bees and a local bee keeper in the process...i realy like that idea
