Keeping Fish

It looked like the pictures. Regular betta feces is brown, from what I see. Online many people describe their bettas having internal parasites with what Anna has. I may be wrong, he might just have a bacterial infection. Like I said, he also has discolored scales and floats on his side, and sometimes looks bloated. Are these signs of internal/external parasites, bacterial infection or constipation? I don't want to act too late and have my entire tank fall to a misdiagnosis... Darn phone won't let me post pictures which would really be helpful now!

Long, stringy poops are usually a result of constipation. Not sure about parasites in Bettas since I am relatively new to them as well.

Just looked it up. Seems like internal parasites may very well be your problem. Sorry for misleading you, I don't have any serious experience with Bettas. In mollies, gups, plecos, etc., these poops are quite common. I would go ahead and treat with your parasite meds. Good luck!

Have so few goldfish left. Will pick some up soon. I lost a nice female guppy yesterday, nothing special, just surprised since she looked healthy, and I think I'm having a fungal outbreak. I'm treating the tank and continuing my bi-weekly seventy to eighty percent water changes on the main tank. I do the Bettas once every few weeks or so, whenever they get dirty. I'm out of town for a week so I will give a 100% water change tomorrow for all three of them.

One of my angels got Popeye than died, probably still from the heater failure from a few weeks ago, eventually I'm keeping just goldfish. I did lose the one who had Dropsy, he was older and probably had something internal wrong as he took months to fully fill up than die despite trying to treat him.

Sorry about your fish. I culled off quite a few tetras and such and am going almost fully livebearer right now. Eggs are just too much work. I'm still checking the door eagerly for the sunfish but expect that they won't arrive for a while. The waiting!

I just added some new plants to my 55g. I'm still trying to figure out the best angle for the spray bar. I need some new suction cups. It wants to blow sand and bury some of my Crypts.

My 10g needs some rescaping.
My 5.5g is acting as a plant holding tank.
My Rimless 10g is waiting it's turn.

I did go to a great club meet and saw some inspiring tanks.

Here are a couple of pics of my club members tanks

Those are all some spectacular tanks, yours and the others, I tried plants but didn't have the desire or interest to do it right so it of course didn't work out. Again very nice.
